Becoming a workplace coach is specifically designed for those who want to become successful coaches in the workplace. This seven-session program covers all the essential skills and competencies needed to excel as a coach. Each session will comprise 60 minutes of slides and 30 minutes of Q&A, ensuring that trainees have a deep understanding of the subject matter.
Coaching is a process that aims to improve performance and focuses on the here and now rather than on the distant past or future. The focus is on helping individuals/teams build on their ideas and opportunities, to define their goals, set their path, and achieve their success. Coaching is about listening, reflecting, asking questions, and unlocking potential. With a tailored approach coaching proves beneficial to creating goals and success within the workplace.
Mentoring is about supporting and encouraging people to manage their own learning so that they can maximize their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance, and become the person they aspire to be. Mentoring is development-driven, focusing not only on the professional’s current job function but also on a more holistic approach to career development.
Mentoring individuals with tools such as back-to-work programs, adjustments to job roles, and empowerment in leading people can result in ensuring individuals feel empowered in the workplace and can thrive in their roles to the best of their abilities without absence.
The course (14 hours) will cover the International Coach Federation (ICF) competencies, which are essential for professional coaching.
Trainees will learn how to apply these competencies to their tailored coaching practice, using a variety of coaching models, tools, templates, and techniques to help lead individuals struggling with their performance & wellbeing.
There is no formal certificate, but by the end of this course, trainees will have the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to become a successful coach in the workplace. It will make individuals better leaders with an aim of being there for colleagues to boost performance whilst ensuring that their well-being is thriving within the workplace.
