Understand the Fundamentals of Suicide:
Define and understand the epidemiology of suicide. Identify risk factors and warning signs associated with suicidal behavior. Recognize the impact of mental health disorders, trauma, and substance abuse on suicidal tendencies.
Assessing Risk and Protective Factors:
Learn to assess the immediate risk of suicide through evidence-based tools and techniques. Understand protective factors that can mitigate the risk of suicide. Develop skills to create a safety plan and crisis response strategies.
Intervention Techniques:
Explore the C.A.R.E (Connect, Assess, Respond, and Empower) intervention model. Practice active listening and empathetic communication skills. Learn how to safely de-escalate a crisis situation and provide appropriate support.
Postvention Strategies:
