Course Summary

Safeguarding is how we can protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect by another person’s actions or lack of actions. To safeguard and protect persons from abuse or neglect, we need to learn how to identify vulnerable individuals and take the necessary steps to stop abuse and neglect.

This course is designed for all persons, no matter the field they are directly involved in, to give them the tools and knowledge to make a difference in a vulnerable person’s life. It will also let the practitioner reporting the abuse know how to safeguard themselves in everyday work while seeking help and to report the incident identified.

This in depth course will teach employers/employees  how to keep the vulnerable people in their care safe from harm. It covers a wide range of topics that will ultimately promote the safety and dignity of many lives in Jersey & on a global scale.
