MINI MEDICS: – Mental Health Training for Children
Mini Medics Mental Health is an introductory mental health course designed for children between 9 and 13, but it can suit children of any age. The course will provide learners with a basic understanding of mental health, including what mental health means, how it is linked to physical health, what to do if they have a worry, and how children can look after their mental health.
The Mini Medics courses are perfect for Primary schools, Secondary schools, After school clubs, Sports clubs, and Organisations such as Cubs, Brownies and Scouts.
Course Duration
1.5 – 3 Learning Hours
Location
Lifeline prefers to teach Mini Medics courses at your chosen venue to enable the children to be in their normal comfortable environment. We teach your chosen course at our based address at de Carteret House, 7 Castle Street, St Helier, JE2 3BT upon request.
Each child will be given:
- Notebooks
- Worksheets
- Pencils
- Pens
- Certificates
Syllabus
A range of First Aid for Mental Health related subjects are covered including:
- Understanding mental health
- Emotions and feelings
- Mental health problems
- Talking about mental health
- Looking after our mental health

Certification
A certificate of achievement will be awarded to students for their hard work passing the course and learning the heartfelt topics they have covered.
Assessment
The instructor will carry out a written assessment and a practical assessment during the 3 hours.
Numbers
A minimum of 12 students and a maximum of 16 students can attend this course.
